Project images

From the concept phase to delivery, images of the projects are an important tool in conveying and marketing our expertise. The image style requires that the photographer puts a lot of thought into image selection and cropping. Important Norconsult projects should be documented by professional photographers, preferably with a drone certificate and video capabilities. The images should reinforce the engineering or architectural aspect of the project, details that show texture and material, or overview images of the project with a drone camera. The pictures should be taken with natural light outside, or possibly natural light sources inside. It is important to have calm and clean surfaces. The images should have as much depth of field as possible.

Advisors at work

We are dedicated professionals who work to improve everyday life every day, using all the creativity and knowledge that lies in close collaboration with our customers and colleagues. We want to showcase our employees both in the office and out on projects. We want to convey a warm feeling, and show that we are trustworthy, welcoming and inclusive, ready to solve all types of tasks.

Photos of our employees should ideally show a good cross-section in terms of gender, age and ethnicity. They must also contain elements of engineering, architecture or digital - whether in the background or as a frame/context for a motif that shows several people working together.

Focus on the most important thing in the picture, preferably choose one object and work dynamically with the depth of field. Use natural light and air and space in both color and composition. The images should have a warm tone.

Portraits

Background

A natural background, whether outdoors or indoors, should create a sense of credibility. Avoid images taken in a studio.

Lighting

Photograph with lighting that preserves the natural character of the environment and utilizes existing light (daylight and/or overhead lighting). Warm tones and vibrant colors. Some warmth in the highlights as well.

Composition

For portraits, a shoulder-level composition in landscape format is standard. It’s recommended to capture a slightly larger frame than necessary to allow for closer cropping if desired.

Pose

Relaxed and natural. Position the subject at an angle that suits them. Vary the position by using a box, bar stool, or similar props to avoid all the photos having the same head or shoulder angle. The person being photographed doesn’t necessarily need to make direct eye contact with the camera, but feel free to try both options to see what works best for each individual.
